Responding to Bias, Prejudice and Bullying

April 30, 2021 @ 3:00 pm 4:00 pm

Join Dania Rivas, Certified Professional Diversity Coach (CPCC), specializing in Inclusive Leadership development for Outdoor Industry Leaders, as she takes you through the various roles we have as Ally, Leader, Oppressor, and Oppressed. Learn how to easily apply functional language around difficult situations, whether you’re at work, or on a hiking trail with friends.

Dania will teach you how to:

  • Recognize behavior and language between bias, prejudice, and bullying
  • Learn various forms of bias
  • Respond & take action when you cause someone harm, or harm is done to you
  • Take responsibility as a Leader to prevent and repair harm
  • Understand your role and responsibility as a disruptor and ally

Something can always be done when we experience, witness, or cause harm. When we remain silent, we perpetuate harm, and many of us stay quiet, or choose to look the other way because we don’t know what to say or how to respond in the moment. Gain confidence and courage to do what’s right by learning what to say when you don’t know what to say.
