Kim Aaron will discuss strategies for keeping your nonprofit stable.

Risk is not always something that can be “insured away” in a nonprofit organization. Risk can be associated with missed opportunities, unhappy staff, and a host of seemingly insignificant decisions. This session will present a basic framework for identifying, assessing, and managing risks in nonprofit organizations. This includes financial, legal, operating, strategic, and reputational risk. 

Dr. Aaron is the Founder and Principal Consultant with Power of the Pea, a boutique consulting firm providing training and technical assistance to nonprofits organizations, small businesses, and government entities.  Aaron has over 30 years of experience in the business, public and nonprofit sectors and has served in leadership position with a variety of nonprofit organizations.  Prior to her “sector switch,” Aaron was a director in the consulting practice of a Big Four accounting firm.
