About the Artist:
Paige Dirksen is a printmaker and muralist currently based in Bella Vista, AR, where she lives with her husband and two children. She earned a BA in studio art/psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and an MA in art therapy counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Paige primarily works with woodcuts and other forms of printmaking but enjoys exploring different media as well. Beyond her personal studio practice, she is passionate about community arts and has a particular love for large-scale murals and the collaborative nature of this work. As an artist trained in art therapy, she is also deeply interested in the healing properties of creating and believes that art has the power to connect us to our emotions, to help us process trauma, and to foster resilience and hope. Through her personal art, teaching art, and facilitating community arts, she aims to create spaces for reflection and connection.
