First and foremost, Juneteenth is a celebration of FREEDOM. Whether we are acknowledging the history of African Americans through time or the events of the last year, we recognize both the resilience of Black America and the contributions of Black Americans to this country. It has been a tough year and now, more than ever, we need to celebrate.
