The Arkansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), the US Small Business Administration, Arkansas District Office, Startup Junkie Foundation, and the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce present “How to Become a Certified Woman, Minority, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business for Government Contracting.”
The State of Arkansas, local cities, and the federal government offer special set-aside government contracting opportunities for properly certified woman, minority, disabled US veteran, and economically disadvantaged owned businesses for contracts for goods produced and business services offered that are available for small businesses of all sizes.
Come let presenters Max Franks of the Bentonville, Arkansas PTAC office, and Jerry Talbert, Deputy District Director for the Arkansas District SBA Office, explain to you the various small business certifications available, SBA programs offering support, and other local and federal free resources to assist you with all aspects of government contracting.
Topics include also the 8(a) Business Development Program, SBA loans, Mentor Protégé, Joint Venture, and the Surplus Property programs. The speakers will walk you through the federal and state registrations, rules, and processes needed for your business to sell your products and services to government entities. You can also make an appointment afterwards to meet with them both for further assistance locally in Northwest Arkansas and at other regional Arkansas offices.
