Community Conversation: Seeing Race Through The Eyes of Children

September 28, 2021 @ 1:00 pm 2:00 pm

Join us as we explore how children perceive and internalize race and racial identity and how we as parents, guardians, mentors, and role models can actively work towards advancing and embracing diversity.

Our dialogue will include results from a national study of parents and children that explored the impact of race and cultural identity in society and feature local educators and parents discussing their experiences here in NWA and the specific steps we can take to nurture a more diverse upbringing at home and in our schools.

We believe that providing a stronger, safer, more inclusive environment where ALL children are valued, seen, and heard contributes to a stronger, safer, more inclusive NWA where all children can reach their full potential in the beautifully diverse world we all share.
